Tengizchevroil Summarizes First Quarter Results
Tengizchevroil has published a report on its economic performance for the first quarter of 2025, showing significant growth during the reporting period.
According to the released document, the company achieved record-breaking oil production levels, which positively impacted its financial indicators. As a result, Kazakhstan's state budget received substantial payments in the form of taxes, royalties, and other fees.
Specifically, in the first three months of this year, the company produced 9.37 million tonnes of oil. Tengizchevroil expects further increases in production due to the commissioning of new facilities — in particular, the third-generation plant launched in January. Overall, annual oil production is projected to reach 40 million tonnes.
A key performance indicator for the company is its commitment to preserving Kazakhstan’s environment. Since 2000, a number of environmental projects worth over $3 billion have been implemented, resulting in a 71% reduction in harmful emissions. According to Tengizchevroil’s management, more than 77% of industrial waste is recycled. The company also boasts one of the industry's highest associated gas utilization rates – 99.3%.
In addition, Tengizchevroil continues to demonstrate its commitment to the economic and social development of Kazakhstan. Since the beginning of the year alone, the company has funded 21 social projects in Atyrau. Over the course of its operations, Tengizchevroil has implemented more than 120 projects aimed at developing social and other infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.
