Minsk and Astana are increasing business cooperation
The regular meeting of the Kazakhstan-Belarus Joint Business Council was held in Minsk. Representatives of business and government agencies from both countries gathered to discuss possible areas of cooperation in various sectors of the economy. They discussed agriculture, industry, information technology and transport and logistics.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus, Erlan Baizhanov; Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mikhail Myatlikov; and Acting Deputy Chairman and Director of International Cooperation of the Foreign Trade Chamber in Kazakhstan, Diana Zhakutova. Myatlikov expressed a positive opinion about the prospects for bilateral cooperation, and noted the results that had been achieved. His idea to hold meetings between Kazakh manufacturers and Belarus retail chains could open new opportunities for business in both countries.

The meeting participants were able to discuss pressing issues and prospects for developing cooperation in various areas during the thematic roundtables held within the framework of the meeting. Both sides noted that the visit of Kazakh representatives to Belarusian production facilities would give additional impetus to increased interaction and expanded partnerships.
